Adam Gray's Top 5 Accomplishments 2015/2016

Adam Gray has had a busy year. During the last legislative session, he has fought hard for our area and:

Got $4.5 million allocated in the State budget to fund a violence prevention program to address the rising homicide rate in Merced County
“A safer Merced County is the goal for all of us… This funding provides an incredible opportunity for us to create a state of the art gang prevention program. We’re grateful to Adam Gray for his skill and leadership in securing these resources.” – Larry D. Morse II, Merced County District Attorney

Passed a bill that will save taxpayers $1 billion in workers’ compensation fraud annually and keep crooked doctors and lawyers from bilking the system
“Workers’ Compensation Fraud hurts both California employees and employers. We thank you for introducing this important bill, and we fully support your efforts to pass it into law on behalf of businesses and organizations in your area.” – Cecil Russell, President and CEO, Modesto Chamber of Commerce

Ended a 37-year unfair tax penalty on Stanislaus County, freeing up to $6 million a year for essential County services, such as law enforcement and health care
“This funding will allow us to invest in vital services and education as well as our decaying infrastructure. I am so grateful to our Valley delegation for fighting this battle and coming out on top. Stanislaus County is in a much better position going forward because of their efforts.” – Vito Chiesa, Stanislaus County Supervisor

Passed a bill to keep our health clinics open longer, so that more people in our area can get access to the health care they need
“I would like to thank the Governor and Assemblyman Adam Gray for their recognition that health needs cannot be met on a part-time basis.” – Leslie McGowan, CEO, Livingston Community Health Center

Led the fight to stop the State Water Board’s proposed water grab that will have devastating consequences on our area if implemented
“You have been a constant voice of support for Stanislaus County agriculture… We thank you for what you do for the citizens of Stanislaus County and for our farmers and ranchers. You have been an especially TRUE CHAMPION for protecting our most valuable resource – WATER!” – David Van Klaveren, President, Stanislaus County Farm Bureau
